Honda and Acura Used Car Buy Trip for November 11, 2008

On Tuesday morning we went down to Central Florida and attended a sale to buy some Honda and Acura vehicles from American Honda Lease Trust (AHFC), via dealer auction.

Because gasoline prices have finally started to recede, many car buyers seem be returning to the SUV and truck market. Many car buyers are expressing frustration that after several months of being fixated to gas saving compacts; they need something bigger for their family activities, not to mention they feel safer in a large vehicle. If you are in the market for a Honda Ridgeline, a Honda Pilot, an Acura RDX or the Acura MDX; the wholesale market price is increasing on these units but this is a good time to get in on some good deals. The higher gas prices from this past summer had greatly depressed the truck and SUV market, so these increasing wholesale prices are coming from lower-than-average market values.

Another reason this may be a good time to buy is because all indications point to increasing finance rates that are on the horizon. Many lenders have gone under due to poor book keeping and increased losses from repo vehicles. Many financial institutions are finding that the vehicle that they were holding the financial notes on were fraudulent. In other words, some dealers that sold vehicles just a few months ago, lied on the application about the applicant that was buying the vehicle as well as model discrepancies (financing a top-of-the-line model when it was actually a base unit). Because of the loses involving the solid lenders and because other lenders have gone under, which thins out the competition; now may be your best opportunity to buy and lock in a good interest rate before rates increase dramatically.

We had a very successful day. We purchased 3 Honda Ridgeline RTL pick-up trucks and one 2005 Acura TL. All 4 units are still under full factory warranty. They have clean Carfax Reports and have only been titled in the south.

The first unit is a 2007 Honda Ridgeline RTL. It has Factory Navigation, the Factory hard bed cover, Factory fog lights, and Factory Running Boards. We drove this truck back to the dealership and it now has approx. 27,300 miles on it. It made over 20 miles per gallon (MPG) and we are currently prepping this unit for market.

We also bought a 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL with 32,916 miles on it. This unit was also driven back and made over 20 miles-per-gallon (MPG). With the balance of factory warranty still remaining, this unit has Factory running boards, Factory hard bed cover, Factory fog lights, and a Factory roof rack.

The other 2006 Honda Ridgeline is also an RTL model. With Factory leather interior and only 31,110 miles on the odometer, this unit is also still under full factory warranty.

Finally, we bought a very nice 2005 Acura TL with only 35,755 miles on it. This unit is still under full factory warranty and will be well priced in the market. Our own Service Department has already scheduled time to install a new set of tires and battery in this particular unit along with our complete used car inspection and normal service procedures (based on vehicle mileage) that we perform on all of our Honda and Acura used cars, trucks, vans and suvs.

At www.accuratecars.com we are comitted to be the best place in Nashville and Middle Tennessee to purchase and service your Honda and Acura automobiles. All of these Honda and Acura units will be fully inspected, serviced and detailed prior to marketing. Please feel free to check our website 24 hours a day / 7 days a week for updated status of these units. The status is found on the home page to the right of each individual vehicle in the price column. If a price is not listed, it will say “New, In Transit” or “Just Arrived”.
