This Honda Pilot was originally purchase from a Honda dealership in Memphis, TN. We personally know both owners, who have owned this vehicle, and both are residents of Tennessee. One major problem in our local used car market is the transplant of northern vehicles into our local market. These northern transplanted vehicles have a considerable amount of accumulated rust and corrosion from years of harsh winters and exposure to road salt. Because this 2003 Honda Pilot has always been in west and middle TN., it has clean undercarriage.

This 2003 Honda Pilot has been fully reconditioned

Our service department completely overhauled the engine on this vehicle due to the previous owner's son overheating it. Our service technicians installed new genuine Honda piston rings, new genuine Honda rod bearings, with installation of a new timing belt and water pump. The engine cylinder heads were rebuilt by Shackletts Machine Shop - a local, highly reputable automotive machine shop in Nashville, TN. We also installed a new radiator during installation of the engine. This 2003 Honda Pilot has a new set of tires, genuine Honda brakes, and a new windshield, with new genuine Honda windshield wiper blades on the front and rear.

This is simply a solid vehicle

More recent year model vehicles have been subject to certain 'government required' systems and designs that impede reliability, in reality do not make the newer vehicles safer. These required systems and designs are not 'consumer friendly' and most of them make the newer vehicles less reliable and more expensive to maintain. The 2003 thru 2005 Honda Pilot is simple and well-built and they give very little trouble. I personally drive a black, 2003 Honda Pilot, like this one.
