Why we use Genuine Honda brake pads

At Accurate Automotive, we are adamant about using genuine Honda brake pads. There are many aftermarket options for replacement brake pads in the car industry. However, for Honda and Acura applications, it has been our experience that if one chooses to use any brake pad brand other than the genuine Honda replacement; there will be negative results.

Noise - Many aftermarket brake pad brands have a tendency to constantly squeak when applying them
Too much organic material - Brake pads that have a high organic component tend to build excessive heat, warp brake rotors, create excessive dust around the wheels, and they wear-out very quickly. Most repair facilities that have the word "discount" or "budget" in their name will use these types of brake pads. Organic brake pads are the cheapest. Honda and Acura owners, just remember you likely paid more for a Honda or Acura vehicle because you understood the concept, "you get what you pay for" - if you buy cheap brake pads, expect negative results.

If we used aftermarket brake pads, the profit margin would be considerably greater but it would not be in our Honda and Acura car owner customer's best interest and they would be back with complaints about noise or pulsation when braking in a short period of time. The genuine Honda brake pads will provide the longest wear and quietest braking. Using the correct genuine Honda replacement brake pads on your Honda or Acura vehicle will result in proper fit and are superior above any other brand.
