SOLD -- 2001 Acura CL Type S
We acquired this 2001 Acura CL from the previous owner, after the timing belt broke while he was driving the vehicle down the interstate - the best reason to use genuine Honda parts - the belt that broke was a cheap aftermarket.
The timing belt breaking at high engine speed, resulted in severe engine damage - all exhaust and intake valves bent. We took the engine out of the vehicle, replaced the piston rings, rod bearings, had the cylinder heads overhauled at a local machine shop and re-assembled using genuine Honda engine parts. While re-assembling, no parts needed were ignored - high pressure power steering hose, engine mounts, new exhaust system (exhaust is aftermarket - factory replacement no longer available), new Cooper tires, new front and rear brake pads, new radiator - if it needed it, it got it.
Then, about 2 months later, the transmission started acting up - so we contacted H&A Transmission in CA and had them ship us a rebuilt transmission for it. This car is NICE - And for the age, it is extra special. Sold
